PhD student in Bioengineering until 2017-11-01

Agricultural systems need to produce more with less inputs. We need plants that are more efficient at (i) capturing environmental resources and (ii) allocating these resources to their different organs. Here we propose to combine plant genetic resources, plant phenotyping techniques and modelling tools to identify and evaluate such functional phenes. This will allow us to uncover hidden resources to help develop more efficient crops.

We are looking for a motivated candidate, with a master in Biology, Bio-engineering or related field. Since the project involve modelling, a background in (or affinity for) computer sciences is a plus. Applicant must be able to work both independently and with others within a research team. Applicants interested in open science and research transparency are particularly encouraged to apply. More information
